Alpine Rock Course - Seattle - 2014

Climbing Course

Alpine Rock Course

Alpine Rock Course

This course teaches advanced alpine rock skills and techniques to climbers who wish to pursue moderate to hard alpine rock objectives.

Students learn and apply new skills on artificial walls, then transition to multipitch rock environments. Rock objectives include areas in Leavenworth, Darrington, or Squamish.

The course culminates with a series of committing alpine rock objectives.  We have climbed routes on Dragontail Peak, Mt. Stuart, and in the Washington Pass area, to include many more.  In late summer we organize an optional climbing trip outside of the state.  Our plan is to climb in the Tuoloumne Meadow/Yosemite Valley in 2014.

The course is for members who are comfortable leading 5.7 or higher trad multipitch climbs and have alpine climbing experience. More information and application
