Leader's permission required: This is one of the few experience trips that requires permission since it involves a more technical destination. You need to have completed at least one scramble. When you apply just briefly state what experience you had so far with terrain that has some exposure.
On this field trip you will learn and practice the skills taught at the earlier field trips as part of a real live scramble trip up to the summit of a peak in the Cascades. The plan is to practice your steep snow, self-arrest, glissading, rock scrambling, and navigation skills.
