A evening of film shorts and features focusing on "human powered" winter recreation and inspiring winter conservation efforts.

Grab your parka, grab your buddies, and celebrate the fun and beauty of winter at the Tenth Annual Winder Wildlands Alliance Backcountry Film Festival. The unique films included in this year's festival will inspire you to embrace the joys of winter in the backcountry.  This year's festival will tour more than 100 showing, from the premier in Boise to showing in New Zealand and Antarctica.

The films come from renowned filmmakers who search backcountry corner across the globe to submit their  best work, and from grassroots filmmakers who take  video camera out on their weekend excursion and and submit their best films.

The festival was created in 2004 to highlight the efforts of the Winter Wildland Allinace and others  to preserve and promote winter landscapes for human-powered users  Funds raised help support efforts to raise awareness of winter management issues, avalanche training/safety and winter education.
