In this multi-station workshop, you will practice various snow and rock scrambling techniques in a controlled environment to prepare you for the field trips. You will practice:

  • Self-arrest position

  • Ascending a summit block
  • Descending a summit block
  • Three points of contact
  • Scree/talus/boulder travel
  • Edging
  • Smearing
  • Stemming
  • Friction/Slabs
  • Protected downclimbing
