This field trip will give B3 students the opportunity to try out gear and new skills on an easy overnight backpack with an experienced mentor. We are camping at Camp Handy for two nights.

This trip is on the East Side of the Olympic Peninsula in the National Forest.

There is a lot of variety on this trip. The first day will be a relaxed day, hiking from the Trailhead to Camp Handy, 3 miles and 851 feet of elevation gain along a forested river.  Day 2, you have the choice to hike up to Marmot Pass, explore Heather trail that continues along the Dungeness River, or just hang around camp.
