Missing Activity Template - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

This is an opportunity to earn a Mountaineers Top Rope Belay badge for parents who already have experience belaying. Instruction is also available for parents with no belay experience.

This activity is an add-on to SEA Explorers & Junior MAC Skills/Climb Night. Instructors are available to test Everett Branch parents to earn their Mountaineers Top Rope Belay badge. Please come prepared for the test according to the resources posted below. 

If you don’t have experience belaying and would like to learn, please attend! After practicing at a few sessions and gaining proficiency, you will be eligible to take the top rope belay test.

Harness, helmet, locking carabiner, assisted-braking belay device (i.e. GriGri), and a tube-style belay device (i.e. Petzl Reverso, Black Diamond ATC).

All climbing gear can be provided.
