Many people spend countless hours planning every detail of an outdoor adventure, but leave food as an afterthought to be gathered and cobbled together quickly on the way out of town. But the meals can make or break a trip- especially if the participants are new to the experience altogether. Food is about survival, but also about comfort and it can be a deeply personal and memorable part of the outdoor adventure experience. We want to motivate outdoorists to nourish themselves throughout their trips, taking into account their own dietary wants and needs. This builds a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance that cannot be easily attained another way. Please join Dirty Gourmet as they discuss tips, tricks, and easy camping recipes in a presentation to introduce their newly released cookbook. They will cover cooking for every type of outdoor trip, from minimalist backcountry adventures to glorious glamping experiences, creating an approachable and adaptable way to look at eating outdoors. Complete with demo and samples, of course!
