Introduction to Hiking - Oct 16 in Issaquah

Are you new to the Pacific Northwest and to giving hiking/backpacking a try for the first time? If you're not sure where to go, how to find compatible people to go with, what gear you need, or how to do it safely, join us on Monday, October 16 for a free seminar.

We'll cover everything you need to know: how to find compatible hikes and hiking companions, common trail hazards, good preparation, gear and clothing, Leave-No-Trace practices for protecting our trails and wild places, and trail etiquette.

Experienced Mountaineers hike leaders will be on hanwith their favorite hiking gear 'essentials' to show and demonstrate.

This seminar is best suited for beginner hikers.  It's not suitable for pets or small children.
