The Mountaineers wore the first skis on Mt. Rainier in 1912. Join us on November 10 to revel in the terrible ways skiing has been portrayed in the movies ever since. The "Arc'teryx Bad Movie Night" is the premiere event you didn't know you wanted, and we're happy to present it to you again!
The Mountaineers will provide the movie and popcorn, and a raffle from Arc'teryx. This is your outdoor movie experience but indoors so bring food, lawn chairs/beanbags/thermarests, and of course your best heckling. Rainier beer will be available for $2.00/pint.
The movie of choice was determined by YOU - and it's going to be Better Off Dead!
Additional Info:
- The event is FREE! No need to RSVP, however capacity is capped at 300. To guarantee your spot visit our event link. Not a member? Sign up for a guest membership to secure your spot.
- WE WILL NOT HAVE CHAIRS. We assume you'll be bringing your tush - or something more comfortable to sit on.
- This is a BYOE event - bring everything you will want. Food, drinks, seats and cash if you want to buy beverages or up your odds in the "bad raffle".
- Arc'teryx will be here with some great new products and giveaways. We will have a special Arc'teryx raffle only for those of you who visit the Arc'teryx booth!
- This is probably NOT a child friendly event. The movie is has a PG-13 rating, but we are guessing your snarky comments will be rated R.
- Movie starts at 7pm but doors are at 6pm. Arrive early to get a good seat, stuff your face with popcorn, and grab one of our $2 Tall Boys courtesy of Raineer Beer!
- Parking is abundant and FREE at our Seattle Program Center. The movie will be held inside our main Goodman Auditorium.
- We strongly encourage bad skiing outfits (or costumery of any kind really). There will be a costume contest.
