Wynoochee River
We paddled from the lake dam to the flats take out above lower gorge. 6 river miles. 228 CFS. We found one great wave to surf.

228 CFS was plenty in the upper gorge as it’s a narrow channel. We had one portage for wood about 1.5 miles in. Taking out above fish dam was easy.
Below fish dam in the valley where it’s braided we had a few thin spots on cobble bars that we had to scrape down. In the flats there was plenty of wood. We had one long portage about 2.5 miles down and one swimmer.
I wouldn’t be compelled to do the flats section again. The upper gorge can be floated in one hour and might be nice to repeat before a trip on the lower gorge.
