Winter Scramble - Sweet Peak

Thanksgiving day Peak bagging - No views - but beautiful trip

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Just enough snow to make it less of a bushwhack and great winter experience . Road was ice or snow free.

To start Thanksgiving day on a good note, three of us went on to climb Sweet peak in the Mount Rainier National Park

It was only about 6 miles of elevation gain and 3.5 k feet of elevation gain. The snow conditions were perfect for a perfect winter mountaineering experience

We hit continuous snow at around 3000 feet. But broke trail with our boots all the way to the summit

We took about 4 hours round trip. With some bushwhacking in snow. Snow is alwwys magical for someone who grew up in a tropical city next to an ocean
