Rock was dry. A few routes have some moss but it can be mostly avoided. Some mosquitoes in the evening hours.
Left the trailhead at 5:20 PM. Note Discover Pass required to park. Approach to Grit Scone is very short, maybe ten minutes. We climbed eight to 10 routes in the 5.5 to 5.10c range. For basic students, a chance to climb outside early season, and for others a chance to get some leads in. Routes have chain anchors, in a few cases two routes might share an anchor. Climbed until sunset and back at the cars a little after 8:00 PM.
