Family Wall is rather mossy. I had climbed there last month (April) and led all three routes. While they were slightly mossy then, in just the past few weeks there has been significant moss growth. Unless someone cleans these routes, many will find they are getting too mossy to climb. We passed by Canopy Crag and the 5.7 ("Tuckermans' Ravine") and 5.8 ("Bryophyta Umbrella") there are similarly getting mossy.
Despite the day starting rainy, it cleared up in the afternoon so our group of 5 went ahead with an evening of cragging at Family Wall. Everyone led the well-bolted 5.7 ("Boodles") which was the least mossy. Many thanks to Neal and Robert for doing some spot cleaning of holds on this route! The other two routes were much mossier - too mossy to climb for some in our group. We set up a top rope on the 5.8- ("Toot") and passed over the 5.9- ("Sprinkles") due to moss.
