Storm King

Good weather. We were diverted to Joyce due to a wreck on Hwy 101, so we diverted to the Spruce Railroad and hiked for an hour on Lake Crescent until wreck was cleared and 101 reopened.

  • Stom King Ranger Station parking lot was full, but a only a short wait before a spot opened up.

    We found the trail to be very dusty, and slippery in places, where hikers had been taking short

    cuts. So be observant and take appropriate care.
