Stevens Peak

Stevens Peak

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

We headed up on Sept 14, 2014.

Followed trail to Snow Lake - past the right side of Snow Lake headed up the notch to the South, immediately upon clearing the notch, in summer there is a slight trail to climbers left we could follow up to the ridge, just below the cliffs towards the saddle at about 6,500 feet. Past the saddle traveled high to the left toward the third gully and headed up to the saddle between Unicorn and Boundary Peak. Finding our way down to the saddle between Boundary and Stevens Peak by trending down, kept looking for the easier way down and trending towards the Boundary and Stevens Peak saddle. From the saddle we had two choices, heading up the ridge directly or to travel cross country to an open field ridge and up to the peak. The latter is an easier way this time of year. Went back the same way, wonderful weekend trip!
