Snowgrass Flats & Goat Lake Basin

On 9/19/2014, a group of three Mountaineer day hikers completed the 13 mile round trip Snowgrass Flat-Goat Ridge Loop Trail from the Berry Patch Trailhead. On this Friday, we left the trailhead parking lot at 8:30 am, and reached Goat Lake at 12:15 pm while hiking the trail countered-clockwise. We were back at the trailhead at 4:00 pm. The wildflowers at Snowgrass Flats were in retreat, but blueberries were still available for our picking on the Lilly Basin Trail up to Goat Lake. At Goat Lake, views of Mount Adams and Goat Rocks as well as the stunning Goat Creek Valley were superb.
