Trip Report

Snow & Gem Lakes (Snoqualmie)

We extended the trip to Gem Lake for a total of 10 miles with 1900 ft elevation gain. The trail is in good condition and completely clear of snow - just a few muddy spots. The bugs are out though! We had a nice leisurely lunch and still made it back in less than 8 hours total. It is well worth the extra effort to go to Gem Lake. It pushes the limit of moderate rating though and should be rated moderate/strenuous or a new category "hard".
