Beautiful weekend for our overnight trip. Warm conditions, but enough snow that held up reasonable well.

Because of the warm conditions, the snow was soft. It firmed up a bit overnight with lows well above freezing. Most of the group had skis or snowshoes, but they weren't strictly necessary. Post holing for others was limited. We saw one avalanche on the south-facing slope facing the road, halfway to Artist Point.
The resort is closed, so parking was plentiful. No passes required due to the partial government shutdown. Bathrooms are open, but there's no garbage service.
There were plenty of others during the day, but the overnight crowds were light. There was one other large group who spent the night.
