We paddled clockwise around Orcas island, camping on Doe Island, Sucia, Jones, and Spencer spit.

Many people paddle to Washington park to Doe island, camp, then return.  The land and launch at  high tide using the beach on the west shore.  Since we were going north our launch was not until low tide.  Low tide exposes rough rocks and difficult launching conditions at that beach.  The beach on the south shore is better at low tide.

Water trail camp at spencer spit is not the best.  It is up a hill and generally slopped.  Still, we were able to find 6 flat to sort of flat spots for individual tents.  There are some nice beach camp sites on shore near the north end of the spit.  This time of year they are still not all in used on week days.  If we had known, we could have camped in those instead.
