We got off close to on time (9:10am) under grey skies and calm winds. We immediately crossed to Victor and had a great viewing of the petroglyphs on the shore there (11.1' tide height predicted by DeepZoom). After taking pictures we followed the shore southward and explored into the end of Rocky Bay. Our first stop was at Windy Bluff. From there we continued south exploring Vaughn Bay and then down along the coast to Haley State Park for a lunch break. The wind had come up to about 3-5kt from the west with drizzle, so we bundled up as there is no real shelter from a west wind at this location.

After lunch we headed across to the south end of Stretch Island and then north along the shore to Stretch Point State Park for another break.  The wind had calmed down, or we were being sheltered by the shore to the west and we then continued along the east shore of Reach Island and back along the shore to Allyn, arriving at 4pm.

Trip distance was 16.1 nm and our average moving pace was 2.9kt. Not a whole lot of wildlife was observed on this day. One or two seals and one or two eagles along with a lot of ducks. We lucked out on the wind, as the day prior was very windy and the day after was forecast to be windy also.S0651124.JPG
