Trip Report
Sea Kayak - Camano Island
Fun 9.3 nMi round trip EMSK paddle with three crossings. Starting and ending at Camano Island State Park, with two stops on Whidbey Island and a paddle by Baby Island. Calm winds and seas with mostly clear skies made for a great day to be on the water. Many thanks to Michele Rushworth for organizing and leading this trip!

Michele Rushworth goes over the trip plan. Breezy Point to the right.
Arrival west of East Point.
The mud was fairly firm when we landed but the outgoing tide exposed softer stuff.
Continuing on we passed Baby Island. Many Great Blue Herons had the same idea. There were also many dozens of curious Harbor Seals in the waters around this tiny island.
After lunch north of North Bluff we made our final crossing over smooth seas. Jeff and Pat.
We made a speedy crossing back to Camano following about a 75° magnetic bearing to Breezy Point. Michele and Cathie.
We returned in time to see Native American canoeists taking off from Camano State Park.
