Great new years day paddle, no wind and little rain. Great way to start the new year. Made the paddle counter-clockwise around Anderson going north up the east side of the island. After passing the Ferry Terminal on the nort side, we stopped for Lunch on Eagle Island. Continuing on to the west side, we explored a little inlet, and a final stop near the marine waterways camp on south side of the island. It was a good break to have before the last paddle across back to our starting point.
Put in location has a boat ramp with some minimal side beaches when tide was lower at launch time. No beach at all on return with higher tide with only thes steep concrete ramp was a little challenge to get out of kayaks as we pretty much dismounted one kayak at a time. Everyone helped each other.
Nice longer paddle, glad I went. Well planned and executed paddle. Actually nice day with little wind or waves and cooperative currents. But my arms were definitely tired.
See above for report. Scheduled to be 13 nautical miles or so.
