Great conditions, with very little wind and slight current assist for much of the paddle.
Great paddle around Anderson Island. In addition to myself, there were 2 participants. We kept a quick pace, skipped Andy’s marine park, and made it to Eagle Island in 2 hours. After a leisurely lunch, just east of the island we encountered 4 very active Orcas presumably feeding on salmon (flipping around, etc.). We kept the prescribed distance, so did not see a lot of detail, but it was still great. There were also a number of whale watch boats and private boats observing. We then paddled to Oro Bay to look at the derelict Ocean City Ferry, then paddled back to Luhr Beach, arriving back about 4 PM.
