Sauk Mountain

Road to the TH is overall good; minor potholes and minor washboard on a couple places. The trail is partly washed out in a few places. Flowers are at their prime. All colors: white, purple, lavender, orange, yellow, blue, red, and others!
Snowfields are lingering near and after the junction w/ the lake trail.
We did not proceed much past the junction with the lake trail because of the snow. Views were great as is.
Bugs moderate in the parking lot but not bad (given the moisture) during the trip, although there were a few mosquitoes here and there.
Trip is exposed, not much shade.
Steep terrain. Switchbacks.
