Sahale Peak/Quien Sabe Glacier

We had good weather for our friday-saturday trip; we were unable to get a permit for the normal boston basin camp, which proved to be no problem - we camped in the torment basin at 6300', on snow and rocks. 5hrs to camp from the TH.

0500 left camp for carryover. 0630 roped up on glacier with crampons since snow had frozen nicely. 0930 on the boston-sahale col; we spent time waiting there for other parties. we set up a fixed hand line to the summit from the snowfield below (around half a rope length). all 9 members of us on the summit around 1200 (a record?). recommend no more than 6 on this route! double rope rappel off onto the sahale glacier side complete around 1330. back at the cascade pass TH around 1800.
