Prusik Peak/West Ridge

Approach Saturday,one person sick so we camped at the lake North end.Up at 4, easy up Asgarde 3.5 hrs. to base of route perfect snow conditions 30 degrees cloudy.Route was dry in good shape. Storm came in on second pitch, high winds blowing snow ropes singing in the wind.Rap off was no problem, deep soft snow at base. Ice axe would have been nice for the traverse back to our packs. Winds and snow/rain back to Asgarde easy plunge stepping down Asgarde. Rain all night back at camp and avalanches coming off Dragontail. Lovely sunny day on hike out.
