Trip Report
Otter Falls and Big Falls
Trip was WONDERFUL. Bothof these falls are well worth this trip. Just expect a couple of challenging water crossing that are "do-able" but just require some thought as to the best way to get across.

ROAD THERE: Paved up to the last mile but that last mile is rough with lots of potholes so take it slow.
TRAIL CONDITIONS AND END POINTS: Basically overall wonderful. This is a 10 to 11 mile generally low elevation mostly out and back hike through a wonderful forest and going along Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie. The end points are 2 great falls! Just be aware that after 2 or 3 mile mark there are 2 water crossings that are denfintely do-able but will take a little planning to get across. In addition, there is now a brand new trail going off the main trail to Otter Falls that is a vast improvement on what was there prior. It just opened for full use on 5/17/25! There are even stairs going down to the small lake at the base of Ottre Falls that are quite nice. Also make sure you go about 1/3 of a mile past the Otter Falls turn off to Big Falls which are very nice and well worth the exta time.
WHY GO?!? These falls are really very pretty and both so different. And the woods along the way are so enjoyable.
