Mountaineers Seattle Program Center - CHS kick-off
140 people had a super fun Saturday morning at the CHS-2025 kick-off. Full of humor, networking, Q&A, and learning more about the adventures to come with CHS-1 and CHS-2. Can't wait to meet more participants on future outings!

The south parking lot was unchained for overflow parking which definitely helps as there were at least 140 participants for CHS and another 25-30 for WFR. Busy area. The hiking committee had arranged for some carpools among leaders and I had no problems finding a spot. The clubhouse restroom was fully stocked and I LOVE THE SEATTLE PROGRAM CENTER. :)
The morning started with Craig Behrens sharing the nitty-gritty details of CHS sign-ups and continued with my Nutrition and Conditioning section. My proudest moments were 1) getting to know the other CHS hikers at my table, 2) seeing everyone participating in the warmups and stretches (would have shot a photo if I hadn't had a mic in my hands!) and 3) testing balance in a group setting.
My participation was cut short at 10:30 when I had to leave to get a flat tire repaired but the 2.5 hours I got to share in were wonderful. Can't wait to lead some of these folks on CHS-1 and CHS-2 hikes.
