Trail Conditions:
Recommend 4 wheel drive/all-wheel drive vehicle to make it to the upper trailhead, until this weekends storm melts off.
Trail is intermittent with 10-20 cm snow until Windy Camp. From Windy Camp to Silver Lake Junction the snow get a bit deeper 20-30 cm. From Silver Lake junction to what I call the Townsen landing, there's 30-60 cm of snow. From the landing to the summit there's up to 90 cm of snow due to wind loading.
Trail is blazed at this point, thanks to our intrepid group of hikers. You could do it as a hike, but if you plan on going to the summit, I'd recommend snowshoes. I actually wished I had brought snowshoes.

Leaders Reflections:
Everyone made the summit!
What a spectacular winter day! We were the only ones on the trail for the ascent, and had the summit to ourselves. On the descent, we ran into 2 hikers with their dog at Camp Windy. Hooray for stormy weather to keep the hoards at bay :-)
