Trip Date: April 26, 2014
Start Location: Mt Rose Trailhead
End Location: Mt Rose Trailhead
Elevation Gain: 3551ft

General Activity Notes:
There is a nice little parking lot at the trailhead. Departed the trailhead at 9:20am and reached the trail split at 10:15. Took the left-hand (direct) branch. On the summit by 11:11am. Elected to return via the loop.
Route conditions: (for climbs, scrambles, snowshoe trips, etc.):
Trail was in good condition. There were a couple inches of snow on the upper section but no route-finding difficulties.
Permits required?
None. The trailhead parking lot is on Tacoma Power managed land so no Northwest Forest Pass is needed.
Driving / parking notes:
Road was clear and dry. Good parking at the small trailhead parking lot.
Equipment notes:
Carried but did not use ice axe.
Required Skills:
Winter scrambling skills.
Flora & Fauna:
Encountered a very aggressive camp robber while trying to eat a bite at the summit.
Weather Notes:
Mostly overcast with light snow falling on top. Some light rain encountered during the lower portion of the descent.
