Mount Baring/Northwest Ridge

Three of us completed a successful summit of Baring July 19, 2014. Many cancelled off last minute with 60% chance of rain, but it didn't rain until we got back to car at about 5:30 PM. 9 hour trip, 4,000 ft. gain, 8.2 miles according to GPS. Trail to ridge is well-defined, ridge walk pleasant. There was hard snow in the gully up to the notch. Crampons would have been useful, but it didn't last long, rocky areas as well in gully. From the notch to summit very easy, but in clouds the whole time, sorry but no views. All in all a good day though.
