Mount Baker Recreation Area (Easton Glacier)

Snow II field trip, 2 days. Saturday hiked in and camped on flat knoll below crag view, then practiced crevasse rescue drills and self arrest in rope teams on low angle terrain. Sunday, hiked up the Squak to a bench ~6000-6500 feet and found some excellent crevasses for live drills. Had three stations set up, students enjoyed jumping/shimmying/scooting in to the cracks.
