Middle Fork Snoqualmie River
Rainy solo hike on the Middle Fork trail, 3 miles out and back. Lots of mud and water running on the trail!

The trail was VERY muddy and wet today, with some deep puddles and even streams running down it in some portions. The water running down the washout at mile three was too high and fast to cross, so that was my turnaround point today.
The road to the Middle Fork trailhead is still being worked on but it’s passable the entire way. It’s down to one car (for both directions- so one at a time) in a couple of spots so give yourself extra time to get there on sunny days. After a week of rain in this area, the trail was very wet and the water was running high! It rained on me the whole day but it was beautiful nevertheless. The Middle Fork is always a great choice for an escape from the city!
