Mailbox Peak (winter)

March 12, 2016. This trip went well. We only experienced light sprinkles and sunshine at the summit. The climb had one cancellation too late to fill the spot but the remaining 8 were all successful. We ascended and descended the old trail. Muddy in some places but not bad. approximately 800 ft from the top, we went through the rockfall going up and bypassed this with the short trail on the descent. This was fairly slick with compacted snow but manageable without spikes and using due caution.
