Iron Peak (Teanaway)

Followed trail from Beverly Creek Trailhead until we hit consistent snow at about 5100' (just before the trail crosses the creek). Then headed up at bearing of 235 degrees to about 6000'. From there headed to climbers left to attain the ridge south of the bump south of Iron Peak. Traversed north on the west side of ridge to Iron Peak summit. Descended via north ridge almost to saddle between Iron and Teanaway Peak, then descended fall line to flatter area and then more or less headed at about 140 degrees back to where we left the trail. Snow was mostly well consolidated, but soft enough to kick steps. There were a few icy spots. We used microspikes along the ridge. 9 hours round trip.
