Intermediate Snowshoe - Hex Mountain (winter)

A beautiful day with wonderful snow conditions in pleasant company! What more could a Mountaineer desire? Even though we were a small party of 4, we were able to complete a route variation that added mileage in moderately heavy snow conditions. Well-done all around!

  • Snow and ice on road

  • About 8-10" of cold, light snow on an icy base. Summit was safe for travel, no sloughing or evidence of avalanche proclivity.
