Intermediate Alpine Climb - Liberty Bell/Southwest Face

Perfect conditions, not too many climbers on route.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

Team of 4 left the trailhead right around 6am, reached the base of the climb around  8. On the approach we found that the center of the gully had more solid rock, but also had quite a few more exposed moves than the sides. Also, no goats to be seen all day!

Took the tunnel variation for the first pitch and the standard route for the rest of the route. Summited at 1230. On the way out we avoided the center of the gully and stayed closer to Concord Tower initiallt, then crossed over to the Liberty Bell side. Back at our cars at 430.
