Hood Canal Triple Cross

A lovely late fall paddle, we saw spawning salmon and seals at the mouth of the Dosewallips River. The very high tide allowed us to paddle almost to the picnic tables at Dosewallips State Park. Weather was clear, bright sunshine, about 50 degrees f; winds 5-7 knots; wave height 0 to 12 inches. Light dusting of snow in the higher elevations of the Olympics. Practiced marine radio communications skills enroute. We enjoyed excellent pizza in Seabeck afterward.
