Trip Report

Green Lake (Mount Rainier)

The trip was a success. The well maintained road through the old growth forest was excellent, and the trail to Green lake magnificant with some flowers, miniture Dogwood, and giant Doug Fir along the way. Ranger Falls, a 20 foot spur off the trail was breathtaking. It was 2 1/2 hrs each way as it was pretty much straight up and rocky footing in places slowing the return. An hour lunch at Green Lake was well deserved, restfull, and peaceful. Our group of 10 connected and socialized very well.
