Gothic Peak

An awesome day up to Gothic Peak. The conditions were perfect. No snowshoes needed. The trail is snow free up to 4000' and has packed in foot path to the basin thereafter.
At the basin there was 4-6 inches of new soft snow, great to kick the step and have your shoe stay in. We didn't have to use microspikes/crampons. The final walk on snow just before the summit had additional windblown snow accumulation, however it was small enough that the slope was not loaded and primed for avy.
Summit itself is mostly snow free, with patches of snow. Last 50 feet was a rock scramble - exposed, but with good holds for feet and hands.
Great team and a fantastic day.
