GoHike Hiking Trip - 2-4 miles, <500 feet gain - Bellevue Botanical Garden

Excellent rest rooms at the start (Bellevue Botanical Garden) and at the midpoint (Kelsey Creek Park.) More than half of the hike was in the shade. Hiking poles are helpful.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • I was glad to be wearing hiking boots and using poles, because there were a few steps through mud, and a few downhill sections on gravel.

There was plenty of parking at the meetup spot - Bellevue Botanical Garden - at 10 AM on July 3.

This is my first ‘Trip Report.’ I did not take photos today. A fellow hiker did. Maybe I’ll have the opportunity to upload one if they are shared with me.

there was plenty of parking at the Belkevue Botanical Garden at 10 AM on July 3. Later, We were able to use the one picnic table in the shade at Kelsey Creek Park.

no parking passes or entry fees apply to this hike.

I was glad I wore hiking boots and brought my poles. There were a few steps through mud. Plus, there were some uphill and downhill sections on a hard trail with gravel. Using hiking boots and poles helped me have confidence I would not slip and fall.
