Trip Report

GoHike - Alumni Urban Walk - Interurban Trail (Bellingham)

starting at the north end of the Chuckanuts through Arroyo Park and then cross Old Samish Road onto the Interurban Trail. Wander on and off of the Interurban on a couple of side trails, eventually through the Hundred Acre Woods, Fairhaven Park and landing in Fairhaven. Then returned on the Interurban.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  •   Combination of trail substrates: dirt trails which may be muddy, and the actual Interurban is a wide hard packed shared-use path.

We met at the North Chuckanut Trailhead parking lot, 1467 N Chuckanut Drive, Bellingham 98229. We are starting early as this is a popular trailhead. There is one portable toilet here. You can also find a portable toilet at the Pine and Cedar Lake Trailhead, a couple of miles west on Old Samish Road.  A Discover Pass is required for each vehicle.
