The scramble was on 7/28/15,a most beautiful weekday. We left the TH about 8:45am and reached Ingalls Pass a couple hours later. Traversed to Ingalls Lake and took a long break to filter water. One brave soul even took a quick plunge. We headed towards the Dog Tooth, scrambling up nice slabs and an easy gully or two. Once past the Dog Tooth and on the other side of the notch, we followed a well defined boot path down 20' or so to a gully. Climbed up the gully about 20' to a grassy ramp. At the end of the short ramp we started heading up. Participants were allowed to take their own route as there was not much loose rock. Soon we were at a very large flat area. After walking across, we scrambled a bit more to the obvious summit. Arrived about 1:30pm and departed about 2pm for Fortune. Traverse to Fortune took longer than expected as we had to descend a couple hundred feet to avoid a couple rocky outcrops on the ridge. Arrived Fortune about 3:20pm and departed around 3:45. From Fortune we took a boot path down to Trail 1626 and then got on Trail 1394 that took us to the trailhead. Back at 6:15pm. About 11 miles and 4400' gain.
