Trip Report

Eldorado Peak/Inspiration Glacier

June 14, 2015. Our party of five left the trailhead at 4:30 a.m. The climbers trail is generally in very good shape. There was no significant snow in the Eldorado Creek basin and the gully into Roush Creek basin was bare and dry.

We reached the summit at 10:45 a.m. The "knife edge" ridge was about two feet wide and had a good boot path. No protection was needed on the climb but we used two pickets to secure the ropes while we took photos and relaxed on the summit.

The entire day was sunny and warm with fantastic views in every direction. We arrived back at the cars at 3:30 p.m.
