Earl Peak

Loop trip up Southwest ridge from confluence of Bean Creek and Beverly Creek, down route of summer trail and out Bean Basin trail. Little snow below point 5693, and intermittent snow from there to summit, with good conditions for traction, in this very low snow year. Windy but good views from summit during a break in the light snow showers. Hard snow and ice at about 5800' in trees on descent requiring crampons or microspikes. Easy crossing of Bean Creek. About 7 hours with breaks.
