Trip Report

Dosewallips State Park, Ranger Hole & Murhut Falls

In spite of somewhat gloomy weather reports, we enjoyed sunshine most of the day. Young hikers did very well with our map exercise, and 9 year old hiker (Derek, who has taken Wilderness Skills) did an awesome job of explaining what a LEGEND is on a map and then we proceeded to make a legend for our trail map during the hike. Kids participated well. We met in Hoodsport for coffee and ice cream, and the kids filled out their passports. Great day and a good group of families.
