Day Hike - West Tiger Mountain No. 1

As the starting point, the Preston trailhead, was a little obscure, we met at the Preston Park & Ride and caravaned from there to Preston trailhead. We ascended by the Preston, West Tiger 1 and Bootleg trails. At the radio facility at the summit we found a new (to me) trail contouring around the summit to the benches by the warming hut, where we had lunch.  There were extensive open views that were new to several of the participants. We returned to trailhead following the Preston Trail the whole way. Gaia recorded the trip as having gained 2358’ in 7.72 miles of travel over 5:53 hours.
