The trail is hikeable. There are some sections of trail that washed out in winter storms. The ladder that leads to the best view of the falls is closed. And the trail is closed past the falls, you cannot do the through hike to the Homestead Valley Road or come from that direction.
Very few people here an a wet day. The rain let up a bit and even stopped for awhile while we were hiking. We were glad of that. We had a nice time and ate at our usual dinner spot. Salmonberry, Coltsfoot and Skunk cabbage are blooming.
