Day Hike - Tumwater Historical Park

Good place to walk with bathrooms, ample parking and optional trails

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Paths are mostly paved, some slick footing where water sprays up on fish viewing platforms. There are many hand rails in spots. They have done a great job on the salmon viewing glass at the top of the falls, I can't wait until the fall fish run!

You can go as far as you want, the paths connect to the upper falls and to the path around the lake and up to the capital building, fountain and grounds.

This is a great rehab hike for those needing good footing, cell service and in town.

Ample parking, restroom, playground for kids, benches, covered seating area. No permit needed. You often see ducks, geese, etc. in this area. Salmon when they are running in the fall.
