Enjoyed abundant ever-changing kaleidoscope of colorful late spring wildflowers from trailhead through forest, along rock gardens and small to expansive meadows to saddle of Saddle Mountain. Beautiful weather day!
3rd of 4th trip between mid-May to mid-June. Today’s flowers were comparable to follow up hike 6/14 when 111 unique species observed.
A hike worth repeating during late spring, as species can vary every few days. Recommended timing mid-May to early/mid-June for early to peak blooms.
